Avocado Smoothie

This is a hearty smoothie perfect for those hot summer days. It is widely popular in Vietnamese-American restaurants but is so easy to make at home. You can substitute the avocado with any seasonal fruit. If you like, try using soymilk instead of coconut water.

  • 1 ripe medium avocado, cut into large chunks
  • 1/3 cup condensed milk
  • 1 cup coconut water, soy milk or regular milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon sugar


  1. In a blender, combine avocado, condensed milk, coconut milk, ice and sugar; blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into your choice of glassware and serve cold.

Note: Adjust amount of sugar to desired sweetness.
