Chef Martin Yan and Chef Tony Wu (from MY China) will delight the guests with live, colorful cooking demonstrations. While Chef Yan showcases his legendary knife skills, Chef Tony will attempt his thousand strand hand pull noodle routine blindfolded. In addition, Gamelan Sekar Jaya and the Golden State Warriors Drum Line will perform to augment the festive atmosphere of the evening.

To further support the fundraising effort of GlobalSF, Chef Martin Yan has generously donated several of his signature books and cleavers for the evening’s raffle. During the evening’s live auction segment, donors can also bid on several elaborate items such as Chef Yan’s personal hosted tours of San Francisco Chinatown (perfect for a corporate function) and dinners at M Y China, his flagship restaurant located in Westfield Mall.

Also on the auction block will be gift certificates and roundtrip air tickets, all donated by the event’s many corporate sponsors. Renowned international artist Yiying Lu will auction off her famous painting of San Francisco ‘Bridge-scape’, one of several in her Bridge Around the World series. The painting will be autographed both by Ms. Lu and Mayor London Breed.

Since the launching of ChinaSF, the initiative originally founded by the office of then mayor Gavin Newsom, GlobalSF and its multiple regional initiatives has been instrumental in linking San Francisco with the international business community. The Honorable London Breed is a strong supporter. “This innovative partnership is leading the way when it comes to creating a successful, diverse economy that is strong, resilient, and inclusive – all values that are truly San Franciscan.” She further elaborated:“By helping international businesses locate, invest, and grow in San Francisco, GlobalSF is growing our economy and creating jobs for local residents while strengthening our international ties and continuing our leadership as a global city.”
